My EA doesn’t make my life easier, said no one ever!

My EA doesn’t make my life easier, said no one ever!

What can an Executive Assistant do for me you ask? Well the answer is EVERYTHING! Having been an EA in the insanity that is an executive’s life myself, I understand the importance that the role plays. Not only can they help with the day to day operations of your business, but they work endlessly to alleviate the stress and pressure points in your life.

I made the move from Canada to Australia 2 years ago, with no plan and unsure of what I wanted to do. Luckily my journey led me to an exciting opportunity at Bupa as an Executive Assistant for the Global Director Employee Engagement & Experience.

I had experience in administration but nothing as full on as this! I soon realized how much I was relied upon and how important my role was to the Director, Cassie. Cassie and I developed a very strong relationship, and we both learned a lot from each other. Once I understood her working style and identified areas I could add value, I quickly began to take on more projects and responsibilities. I was helping with presentations for conferences, research projects, planning international travel itineraries and more! This allowed Cassie to have extra time at home with her kids, this was truly invaluable.

Unfortunately, due to visa restrictions I had to leave Bupa, but that brought me to Think Talent!

It didn’t take long for me to connect with Natalie and Ainsley, both with the business and personally.  With my experience working at Bupa, I was able to quickly establish the best way for me to help them achieve their ideal work/life balance.

Fast forward one year….

Having worked closely with Think Talent’s executive client’s I have been able to identify how hard it can be to find the right person to support their busy lives. With my passion for helping people (and maybe a glass of wine or two) I was motivated to pitch the idea for an Executive Support desk at Think Talent.

After proving my commitment and determination, Natalie and Ainsley had a lot of confidence in me and agreed that there is a strong requirement with our clients and candidates to open up the Executive Support space.

I am so excited to be starting this new offering and look forward to helping facilitate great working relationships between Executives and their Assistants.
